St. Augustine & Jacksonville Beach

Leaving Daytona early on Thursday morning (May 8th) we headed up for St. Augustine. We arrived in St. Augustine around three and tied to a mooring ball just outside the downtown area. There were about 50+ sailboats, catamarans and few scattered trawlers like us. :-) What a beautiful site!
May 9th brought us through marshlands, opposite running tides, beautiful mansions at Ponte Vedra Beach and our final destination at Jacksonville Beach. Today, May 12th we are still here.
Our aft stateroom AC took a dive and worked no longer. :-(  So we took advantage of a nice discount offered through Active Captain & Defender Marine and had one shipped here. At this moment installation is nearly complete. We are greatful to Walt Wilson an excellent marine mechanic at Beach Marine & we will sleep in cool quarters this evening!
So to put a positive spin on our stay for repairs we had good friends who came to cheer us up! Frankie (my godson) and his friend Chelsey came and hung out with us on the boat. We have special memories of him dancing at out wedding as a seven year old. :-)
Ron's old shipmate Max and his wife Jerris (very special friends) came the next night and we went out to "Billy's Beach Bar & Grill", where we had many laughs about old times.
